In this article, we’ll go over how to schedule Oracle Fusion BIP reports. We know that Oracle Fusion provides the BIP tool for creating and designing BIP reports; however, in order to run BIP reports, we must register them as an ESS job in Oracle Fusion.
How to Schedule a BIP Report in Oracle Fusion Cloud Application
In Oracle Fusion, there are two ways to schedule the BIP report.
(1) Schedule as a ESS Job
If you have a report that you want to schedule and run manually in the Oracle Fusion application, you must first register it as an ESS job, and then schedule it as an ESS job in the Oracle Fusion application.
Steps to register and Schedule ESS Job for BIP Report
We’d have to go through the following steps:
- Create a BIP Data Model based on SQL queries.
- From the SQL Data Model, create a BIP Report.
- Executing the Custom BIP Report and testing the outcomes.
- For the BIP Report, you’ll need to create a custom ESS job.
- Executing the Custom ESS Job and testing the outcomes.
- Schedule the Custom ESS Job as per your need.
(2) Schedule as a BIP Report
If you have BIP Report then you don’t need to register this ESS job if you only want to schedule a report that will be instantly emailed to concerned users. You should just schedule this report and email/fax it to the required email/fax numbers.

- Create a BIP Data Model based on SQL queries.
- From the SQL Data Model, create a BIP Report
- Executing the Custom BIP Report and testing the outcomes.
- Schedule the Custom BIP Report as per your need.
