In this post we’ll talk about My Folders and Shared Folders in Oracle Fusion Reports. In Oracle Fusion, we have two Folder options for registering and saving our custom OTBI and BIP reports.
My Folder Your personal folder is called My Folders, It means that it is unique to each individual user. When you save and create a report in this folder, no one else in the application can see or access it because it is saved and built in My folder. As a result, your personal development is entirely your responsibility.
Shared Folder Your Application’s common folder is called Shared Folders. It means that it is shared among application users according to their positions. There are several sub-folders in the shared folders that are linked to work and modules.
Standard OTBI reports, Data Models, and Dashboards have already been added to the Shared Folders as sub-folders. When you create a report in the Shared Folders subfolder, that report will be visible and available to other users of the application, depending on their permissions and roles.
